On 17 December, the ICO published a new Data Sharing Code of Practice (the “Code”) and presented it to the Secretary of State to be laid before Parliament in the coming weeks. Personal data flow is currently unrestricted because the UK is an EU member state. If the UK leaves the EU on the 31st October with no deal that will change and organisations will need to be properly prepared for all exit scenarios.
